Windows Vista

I glanced at it briefly at Best Buy yesterday, and didn't see anything on it that OSX doesn't already do, but in a more matter-of-fact (i.e., less showy) manner. However, if you want to see someone else's creative review of it, then clicky-clicky! It's really good writing. Clicky-clicky even if you don't care a whit about OS's.

hehe. that is highly amusing. i saw something on slashdot or linked from there about how they try to be like macs and make you approve significant changes...only it doesn't ask for a password the way macs do so anyone can change stuff anyway. so people will get used to hitting enter any time something comes up to ask for confirmation, and they'll stop reading what it's asking them to do, and a virus will ask for approval to be installed and the user will hit enter without reading what it is...

*rolls eyes* Oy, that's an awfully stupid way of doing things.

Oh, and Apple did put out an update for daylight savings w/in the last week. I love how Windows does a huge press release saying "lookit what a big problem this is, we're gonna fix it soon!" and Apple just silently and efficiently does it. :-P

So I click the review...

"Chalain? Isn't that Howard Tayler's friend? The one who wrote the magic sleep gun haiku?"

*scrolls one entry down friendslist*

"Oh. Now I see where she got the link from."
