[HS] More pros and cons

+ Cyst is mostly drained.
+ Didn't stain my shirt at all yesterday
- The jumbo generic Bandaid I used yesterday to prevent the shirt staining ripped off some of my skin when I removed it today. I shouldn't've waited overnight, but I was just so exhausted. Maybe bandaid brand name would've been better too. (Just not ever Cure-Aid, they always rip my skin off, even the "sensitive skin" ones.)
+ Yayfor medical tape!
- I'm sick.
- I'm terrified it's actually sepsis from the cyst. I'm psychologically sure it's not.
- Not HS related, but I have to record a bunch of presentations for my online class, and being sick makes this difficult.
+ I'm going to make soup!

Check my "skin" tag if you want more background.

yay soup! boofor skin tearing off. i don't remember if i've told you this before, but there's a type of medical tape called Second Skin that i've heard is very nice, it stretches with your skin and comes off easily and such. my dad uses it to keep his insulin pump in.

I don't think you had mentioned, but I'll look for it. I don't usually have issues with any of the tapes, just some brands of bandaids. I'm going to try and pick up some of the stretchy stuff that sticks to itself only, like they use after you give blood, b/c I think that would be great both for not ripping my skin off and for flexing with me moving.

buy it from a tack store. It's too expensive from a pharmacy. Also watch that stuff as it tends to roll if it's in a spot that moves a lot.

i was thinking you could use tape + gauze instead of a bandaid, and have less skin-ripping.

That's what I'm using now, and had been using earlier in the week, but I switched to the jumbo bandaid to go to school yesterday to make sure nothing would leak.
