One of my male co-workers at Old Job did tell me (years and years ago - like 1999) that newer employees were being hired for more pay, but I didn't know what to do about it. All the career advice available these days was not available then and because I didn't have a comp sci degree, imposter syndrome held me back, gaaaah!
It's nice to be in a unionized environment now and out of a department of 42 people, only seven are guys. That's really unusual in the creative services field.
It would be so nice if there was a way to make intrusive thoughts go away. If you find out, lmk!
