Good news

Peeper is improving! She's apparently gained a gram (which I guess is a lot), and she's got more energy - the vet said she's starting to be feisty when they handle her. :) He also said that the prognosis is "guarded," but he said it was good news that she's improving. He suggests (and I totally agree) keep flushing her system another day and keep feeding her and keep giving her medicine, and I can (hopefully!!!!) bring her home tomorrow. They'll show me things like how to give her fluids and medicines (I'm guessing by syringe, which I've done before). I guess she's got gout with the high uric acid, but she's doing better.

I think I'm gonna go cry again. :)

Yah! Wonderful.

Oh, and just ignore your dad. I had people telling me that Fuzzbutt would not last much longer since she was about thirteen. She lived to twenty-one.

Don't mourn her while she is living.

You might want to schedule her for semiannual checkups instead of annual, just to keep a good check on her. And its cheaper than the emergency vet.

I actually don't remember if I took her to the vet last this past year, or the one before. If it was two years ago, I will kick myself. But yeah, semi-annual does make sense to me. The concern I have is weather - I don't want to take her in the winter, so I should schedule them ahead in Spring and Fall or something to make sure I go.

That makes sense. Spring checkup and Fall checkup.
