Slippery Slope revisited

Now they've done it. Adding fuel to the fire of Evangelical Christian Conservatives and ex-gays mid-west-wide, next summer HBO is going to debut a new show called "Big Love." The main characters are a Utah Mormon man and his two wives, and how he's trying to straddle the line between his religion's fanatics and the sellout mainstream Latter Day Saints. Says CNN,

After a string of period pieces ("Carnivalé," "Rome," "Deadwood") that drew niche audiences, the show aims to return to contemporary drama, as with "The Sopranos."

Hilarious tidbit: while Christian Conservatives paint gay marriage and polygamy with the same brush, the former is considered an "abomination" in Leviticus and Deutoronomy, while the latter is, in certain situations, mandatory according to those same books.

Ah, the smell of hypocrisy in the morning.
