Mini-chicken!

I got me a mini-chicken. I'm going to cook it and eat it whole. Well, maybe I'll take a few bites, but I think it'll only take me one sitting. It's bigger than Gabe. Bigger than the sun conure I played with at the pet store. Smaller than a macaw though, probably on par with an African gray. *grin* Mmm, chicklet....

Man, now I feel bad for it.

yeah, um, best not to think of food-animals in terms of pets...

Aw, but they're so cute and tasty....

I have the morals of a vegan, but the tastebuds of a carnivore. Sometimes I have to play with the boundaries there just to keep my sanity. ^_^

I'm going to cook it tomorrow though, made my hair black again tonight, and would've been too hard to time the cooking while doing that.

not to mention, dripping dye into food doesn't make your internal organs happy.

i'd probably feel bad if i thought about cute little lambs, but i love lamb chops so much, i just never let myself think of meat and animals as one and the same.

See, I view it [thinking of the poor widdle animals I'm eating and getting sad] as my pennance for being an evil person and eating them. :-P

(this is amavia... I can't log in because of a silly hotel firewall. bah.)

I used to feel bad going to the Public Gardens to feed the ducks and then eating Peking duck in Chinatown..... *grin*

Hah! They may be different species of duck. In the NorthEast we usually find canada geese and mallard ducks wild, but rarely find feral domesticated ducks - these are primarily descended from mallards, and I believe can interbreed with them, but they're not really the same in my opinion. The ones we primairly eat pekins, have totally different coloration, size, and even beak shape.
