Andrew Carnegie?

Can anyone recommend a biography of Andrew Carnegie? It seems he was a very influential person in business/industry and education. He also established TIAA-CREF, and finding that out is what makes me want to read about his life.

go to Pittsburgh and visit the Heinz History Center. Carnegie was a pretty influential figure in the 'burgh.

Understatement of the century. :-P Everything in Pittsburgh is named after Carnegie. One wonders why they didn't change the name of the city to Carnegieburgh, other than the fact that it sounds horribly unwieldy and William Pitt was pretty kickass.

Yeah, but the page is woefully lacking in citations. ;)

Yeah, that's where I first became aware of him. I'd like something I could do now here though.

"How to Win Friends and Influence People" became my dad's bible when he went into sales. He still recommends that book to anybody interested in sales. I'll ask him if he knows of some books.
