Optimizing my commute

B/c the LJ goat didn't transcribe my recent voice post despite it being public, I did. And I finally got around to posting it on [livejournal.com profile] mathsex so if you care you can follow it there.

It was too long to auto transcribe. Three minute limit.

Ridonkulous. So if I hadn't sang the song at the end it would've done it. Bleh. Stupid.

So why didn't my latest two transcribe? The first of them was iniitally locked, but the second was always put in the public and is under 3 minutes.

Are you singing on the second one? They might not transcribe singing. But the third is just you talking, right? So that sure should have been transcribed.

Yeah there's some singing, but I'd expect it to transcribe the rest and just leave that part blank or garbled. And it's the one that was initially locked b/c I hung up by mistake instead of telling it to post, so I wouldn't be surprised if it never transcribes. But the third (about cops) is just talking and was always unlocked.

I expect if the transcriber (and it is a human being) hears singing, they may just stop listening. No explanation for the other one.
