Yep, I'm old! :-P Not that my students realize - in two of my three classes on the very first day one of MY students went up to the outgoing teacher to ask about adding the class on an overload or something similar.
"When I was your age, I had to walk to classes through the snow uphill both ways!" It's true too, the campus was that hilly. My students only have a hill going back to their cars. Man, we didn't even *have* cars!
I'll be happy about that once I'm 40 or 50, but till then it gets me irritated at students all the time. Day 1 two students tried talking to the prof of the class before mine, thinking that guy was the prof.

(You want to know when you've really crossed the line? When people a bit older than you are all telling each other "no, really, it just gets better from here." ;) )
As a random mathematical side note...this year my dad and I will form two legs on a Pythagorean triple: 36, 64, [100]. Plus I get to sing Beatles at him. :)
Strictly through kadath, unless we've met at a party and I haven't placed the user name. I don't friend people I don't know, but I made an exception after something you wrote landed you firmly in my Good People(TM) category. Anyways, hey. :)
*waves* Hi! Nope, I don't think I've met you in person then. Pardon me for not particularly friending you back, I've got waaaaaaay too many blags that I read right now and need to clean them out before I start friending new people. See, I do friend people I don't know, and that's led to problems... Too much intarwebs, not enough time.

Heh, only on LiveJournal would a blogger feel compelled to excuse him- or herself for not aggregating a reader. No worries. :)
