Backwards

For some reason, this one post in [livejournal.com profile] physics has the text title part backwards, next to the user's icon.

Scrolling through the HTML is messed up, too. It screws with my head. Ow.

So my question is WHY? Why that one entry on that one community only? Did the poster do it somehow? Is it a glitch? It doesn't appear to be temporary.

[livejournal.com profile] xoder figured it out.

Thank Unicode (at least, that's what I'm guessing. I cannot see the actual picture due to firewall issues at work). Unicode has a character that does R-to-L printing for any characters after it. I've seen it do weird things on places like Kuro5hin.org and MetaFilter

Huh really? Haven't heard of that before.

Ah yes, I think you're right, he put that symbol in his username or something.

Aha. I thought that symbol was strange, but I didn't bother to look it up. Silly me. Interesting.

It doesn't display for me, many fancy ones don't on my Mac/Firefox. Oh well.

It's in his "Name" field. Check the userinfo.

Yeah, I saw the question mark, but I'm assuming it looks like something to other people. I'm on a Mac/Firefox and not even the "heart" symbol displays for me for some reason.

I've seen this on facebook groups lists, for some reason.
