[HS] Pros and Cons
My standard link to more info about hidradenitis suppurativa
+ Bought a gel pack that can be heated in the microwave and can provide a longer duration of a reasonable temperature for a heat pack.
+ T$'s buying me gauze
- I need it so I don't stain my blouse when I go in to work tomorrow
+ the current cyst is getting better
- it's getting better by draining. ick.
- it's one of the worst I've ever had
- I'm between dermatologists
+ the pain is getting less. didn't need to OD on painkillers today, went mostly without since I wasn't moving much.
- have to remember to bring gauze and tape to work tomorrow to change my dressing so I don't stain my shirt.
- Have to decide whether to risk wearing a bra tomorrow (risk b/c of potential staining and having it rub the cyst), or go without (while it doesn't feel uncomfortable, it definitely looks a different shape and sometimes my nipples show).
- Wearing a tank top under whatever shirt would also risk rubbing against the cyst.

I don't think i've ever seen an entry on this from you before. I'm sorry you have to go through it, sounds like a very unpleasant experience.
I know the Spoon Theory all too well and use it when explaining my own conditions.
Here's to quick healing!
