sleep

Peeper had a night fright at 12:30. I'd gone to sleep at a reasonable time, 11 or 12, so that meant she woke me at a bad time. Then she had another one. And another. The last one I saw the time for was 3:30. I don't know if she kept having them and I just slept through them, or if she settled down. Each time she woke me, but I couldn't get out of bed to check on her. Then I had some wierd dreams just before I woke up. And now Peeper's all perkily preening herself on my shoulder begging for scratches whenever I move. I hate her.

this is why people should have pets before they have children.

And just yesterday evening I was discussing with a coworker about her children, and how I didn't think I was ready for any yet. Then she told me how they follow her into the bathroom all the time, which Peeper does. I went on describe how Peeper needs me in the room when it's her dinnertime around 8pm every night.

If we're in another room she'll start yelling untilĀ I bring her to her cage. If I then leave, she'll follow me and continue yelling until I cave in and sit with her while she eats. If I have a friend over at that time who she likes, she'll need *both* of us in the room while she eats. If I'm the only one that follows her in, she'll waddle back out to the living room and yell at my friend for a while, then waddle back to the bedroom and yell at me, and repeat until we both cave in and sit in the bedroom with her while she eats.

It's adorably annoying. :-P
