Recipe: Stuffed Mushrooms

Recipe for Stuffed Mushrooms!

Ingredients

* 2x box of whole mushrooms (each box is usually 1-1.5 lbs, I use white mushrooms but minibella are good too)
* 8oz cream cheese
* Garlic (2 teaspoons grated or to taste)
* 1 leaf lettuce or something else green, chopped
* Grated parmesan cheese (2 tablespoons)
* Breading (2 tablespoons)
* Grated mozzarella (~1/2 cup)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Wash mushrooms. Remove and save the stem from each mushroom, also carving out a bit of a cavity from the cap. Place mushrooms on a greased pan (I use butter on a pyrex baking pan). Chop stems, add everything else EXCEPT mozzarella and mix. Place the mix into the mushroom caps, heaping over the top of them. Sprinkle mozzarella over the top.

Bake ~20 minutes or until a color that you like.

Eat. Yum!

Yum. I usually minced the mushrooms up with garlic and herbs and then sautéed it in butter until they shrank some so they'd fit back into the cap. Then I topped the cap with just breadcrumbs and baked. Doesn't the lettuce make this soggy? Should try the cheese idea.
