_scientists_
Okay
the_xtina, b/c you love LJ-foo so much, tell me how to make it so my friendslist doesn't show any of the
_scientists_ posts that're article requests, but does show all the other posts from that comm. I read my friendslist via Firefox. I've also got NetNewsWire (Mac) which I'm attempted to start using exclusively. I don't use any blog-posting software, but I'm willing to consider one if it'd fix the world for me.
Others are welcome to pitch in too.

I suppose there's a way to do it via Javascript... dammit, now I'll never sleep.
I checked out NNW's site. If you know owt about AppleScript, you can maybe script a filtering thing into NNW directly - have it scan on 'article request', frex. I'd love to have more input on this, but (a) I don't have a Mac :( and (b) the last time I tried AppleScript, I loathed it. Although, my dad sent me a bunch of online-type manuals, and I think I may still have one for AS.
(It also uses Automator? I've never tried it.)

Have to admit, I've no clue on that part. :-P

1) Install Greasemonkey (requires a reboot).
2) Install LJ Filter (doesn't require a reboot).
3) Go to your friends page; when it's loaded, go to Tools > Greasemonkey > User Script Commands > Edit LiveJournal Filter Rules.
4) Profit?
