yesterday, driving up to the dealer where I eventually got my new car (to be picked up this afternoon), I saw a big tan thing on a flatbed tow truck. I followed it for a while and realized it had a big long nozzle sticking out with a black shower cap on it, and the sides had plated armor. then I realized it was a sand-colored TANK. it was really bizarre to see a tank being carried on the highway, and the little cover over the turret thingit wasn't enormously reassuring.

I think I've been behind that tank on the highway before. It's got to be privately-owned, because it's WWII-era and the paint job is wrong for the Army.

Oh, those shower caps are completely tank shell proof. Nothing to worry about. Its the same stuff they make the black boxes on airplanes out of.
