There's a new Chinese supermarket next to the bagel bakery where I get breakfast. It's aptly named "New York Mart".

At least they got "ATM" right.....
I wonder if the top part of the sign is correct.
What's really weird is that they have several other signs, all spelling the name correctly.

Nov. 8th, 2007 10:58 pmI was just browsing through my recipes tag, which doesn't have nearly enough entries, and cracked up at some of the bizarre things I said. Such as "8. Shake your butt to help with the sprinkling", and categorizing some of the chicken entires with the birds tag.
This is geeky on just soooooo many levels. Gabe wanted onto my shoulder - she hasn't been getting as much time w/ me the past few days as she should, since I went back to work. She has horribly watery poops, so I went to find her a towel, but to keep her calm I let her sit on my finger during the process. As I reached into the linen closet, put a towel on my shoulder, and put Gabe on it, I chanted "poop-towel: engage! bird: deploy!"

It got more and more amusing as it went on, and in the last split-second I finally cracked up. :)
The innuendo part pissed the hell out of me b/c it's true, or at least I fear it is. That's why I don't "advertise" my gender online except in spaces I'm familiar with (like this blog).
