When my derm emailed me back to say I could start on the levoquin, he mentioned that I should continue the hot conpresses. I realized that every time I've resorted to the levo, I've immediately stopped using the compresses. And I just figured out why: because when it's gotten to the point where I'm resorting to drugs, it's also gotten to the point that my skin's painful enough that just touching it with a towel (let alone a hot one) is significantly unpleasant. Maybe I'll point that out to him.

I expect it to start shrinking tomorrow or Sunday. Ibuprofen's adequately managing the pain.
Anyone *cough*[livejournal.com profile] meredithanne42*cough* know what the yellow line with half-circles over west Texas means? I've never seen it before.

ETA: And while I'm at it, why does it make a difference if a cold front moves under warm air, or a warm front moves over cold air? They're the same except for the stationary ground under them, why does that affect them?
1) A tree sweater.

2) Finding out that the little baby chicks at the MoS are "retired" either back to the farm they came from, or to a rehabilitation center for injured raptors - that is, birds of prey. Yeap, after you and I ooh and ahh over them, they get eaten. At least the ones that can't make it out of the shell aren't forced out just to meet that fate later. They just leave them to die.
