Intarwebs?

I keep having issues w/ my wireless internet disconnecting. My desktop hardwired is fine. Anyone know how I can determine whether it's the MacBook or my router without buying anything?
A group of 300 astronomers, including David Levy (planetariums), Carolyn Shoemaker (comets), and Irwin Shapiro (GR) have signed a petition protesting the IAU's unilateral decision of a definition of planet. They're unclear if they dislike the definition, or dislike the lack of public input. I dislike their doing this, it's absolutely pointless when they admit themselves that the IAU doesn't convene again until 2009.

I also dislike their implied claim that it's all experts in planets:
We, as planetary scientists and astronomers, do not agree with the IAU's definition of a planet, nor will we use it. ...The list of signatories have studied every planet in the solar system, asteroids, comets, the Kuiper Belt, and planet interactions with space environment.

The first sentence reads that everyone on the list is a planetary scientist AND astronomer, and the second listed reads that EACH signatory studied every planet. No, simply not true.

As for 300 names, keep in mind that put a piece of paper in front of enough people and you're bound to get people to sign it.

Instead of coloring my hair myself as I did in reality last night, I cut it instead. I looked at it in the mirror and there was a huge tuft sticking up, still half bleached. I tried to get someone else in the dorm to help me trim it, but they were busy getting dressed to go out and party. I tried to get dressed too (I couldn't decide between a white and black camisole under the white knitted top), but she wasn't being any help, telling me it was ok if my bra showed and I should just do without the camisole. Plus I couldn't try them on because my bedroom was attached to the bathroom which was attached to the classroom so I wasn't allowed to close the doors 'cause they needed a way out.

Most of the sets in this dream were new, but at one point I was walking through the High School Stairways set trying to find out what floor my dorm room was on. I'd forgotten, see, and the stairways led all over, some skipping floors, some with precipitous drops with no railings. I figured it out eventually: second floor.

Awwww....

Bluebear's moving out! And I couldn't convince her to stay. :'( Too bad I did convince Bud though, he's got everyone calling me "Beefcake."
