Photos soon!

[livejournal.com profile] amavia said she just sent out the CD with Gabe's photos! I'm really excited, I can't wait ot see them all. ^_^ So far the single sample she sent was really awesome!

OK, sleep time. Grant's in, school's grant person said it was awesome. If anyone wants me to post more on that, send me a memo and i'll do so, otherwise i'll probably be freaking out about the three midterms I have to grade and the 4" stack of other overdue grading I have to get done.

I am NOT happy with Foley's gay pedophelia priest abuse claims, despite the fact that they appear to be true. The Republicans are going to blame Foley's gay near-pedophelia upon someone else inflicting it upon him in childhood, absolving Foley of any blame, and implying the only way people can be gay is if they're also pedophiles and sexual abusers. And alcoholics. And of course, all of those are diseases needing treatment. *grumble*

The only possible upside to this is more evidence that not all who are godly Christian are good, and even the Republicans will have to admit it. There's no other way this defense of Foley will work.

The wonder of Creative Commons

Maybe not the best video, but someone's combined Jonathan Coulton's Code Monkey with scenes from The Matrix to get the Code Monkey music video. I'm not a fan of the long scenes in the video (music videos usually have faster cuts between shots); I am a fan of the really long stares and blank face of Keanu whenever the song gets to the line "Code Monkey very simple man." :-P

...Well, it's better than the video for Drive by a long shot...

ETA: There's acutally a whole bunch here.

Press

Huh, Coulton's been getting a lot of press, I just realized. To start off his year, he's been slashdotted, wanged, and Boston Globe-ed. Wow, what's next? I do hope he plays at PAX next year, that'll make him.
