I've had both black and white cages that look absolutely horrible when even slightly dirty. The blue marble-ish cage I have now looks great. Don't worry about it clashing with Gabe, Gabe looks a lot like my Diana, and she looks nice in that cage.
The heated perch is great too, just make sure Gabe doesn't want to be a weird bird like my Tammy and perch on the outside of the cage. Since it is almost always warm here, I bought it for Autumn's arthritis and it has done wonders.
