Hey, I've been a victim of domestic abuse and I'm a heterosexual male. Ironically enough one of the few activities I have done that encouraged men to hug (other than places where mdma was being consumed or NA meetings) was kung fu, and it seems to be a common thing among martial artists. We kick the crap out of each other and then hug each other :)
