Glad to hear your dad is making a good recovery. That anesthesiologist really sucked. Morphine is a very bad choice for surgery. There are a number of opioids that have more of an anesthetic effect, shorter half lives and lower resperatory depression to analgesia ratio. And they titrated it way to quickly if he needed O2.
