Full Name?
Everyone you come into contact with through friends of friends of friends can see your full name. (For example, I just started a "Hanging Out". ZMcD joined it, and invited a few friends. I could see their full names.) The same full name is used in all Google services tied to the same account. Consider using a pseudonym that you don't mind your boss knowing, or using initials only. (ZMcD's friends could only see my name as "A S" since that's what I have as my full name.)
Sharing and Resharing
When you create a post or reshare someone else's, make sure to pick the circles or individuals you want to share it with. If you don't want people to reshare your post, after clicking the green Share button, click the little down arrow in the upper right and pick "Disable reshare" if that's what you want.
