Since Gabe made the post about it on the PA news/frontpage, I'm considering emailing him about it, however it's Khoo who has much more sense about ... well, anything. I'm not really *upset* about it, per se, more disappointed. I'll think about it for a couple days and then see how I feel and maybe write to Khoo then. And yes, I do have his email address - a Google search seems to imply it's a well-kept secret, but there are honors that come with Omeganaut status. No, I'm not going to post it here now. Ask me later if you want it.

Nov. 9th, 2006 12:17 amWaitasec, since when has Ozy and Millie been a Keenspot comic? It seems like only since today. The banner ad at the top and under the Keenspot bar is what alerted me. Funny how we get used to tuning them out most of the time, but sometimes something jarring pops up. I'm suprised he moved over though, I thought he was successful on his own. *shrug* Maybe there's more to it I don't know, but he didn't put up an announcement about it that I could see, so I'm not sure.
*sigh* Well, that and that I don't have photoshop or anything on my Mac. (and I don't ahve a working ethernet card either, but i haven't called apple care back yet either.) I want the last two panels of this webcomic, just the lower left corner w/ the hats and cereal box, to blink back and forth slowly (like maybe 1-2 s each, so 2-4 s overall) as an icon.

PAX OmeGIRLnaut rant, a preface
Aug. 28th, 2006 12:18 pmI am planning to write a futurepost on my experience as an Omegirlnaut, specifically what it was like to be a girl in this "sausagefest" (though the term gives me shudders). But every good novel requires a preface. To start you off, see if you can figure out which poster on this PAX thread is the one I referred to as "Upskirt Girl" - when in a generous mood.

Jul. 31st, 2006 08:04 pmI've finally FINALLY received the Music+Science=Sexy T-shirt! They'd stopped talking to me for a bit, but then I called up my Discover card and let them know about it (yay Discover, immediately gave me back the price out of their own pocket, and the contacted PayPal to see about things on their end), and let QCMerch know about it as well, and we agreed that they'd try a third attempt at shipping it to me, but to my office address. And it made it through sometime during the last two weeks while I was at Astrocamp. Yay! I called up Discover card to set everything straight.
So on the end of this all, I'm still baffled as to what happened to the first two attempts. They were both shipped to my home address, and I've never had anything stolen that was shipped to me before. I'm also inclined to trust the people at QC - they seem like real people, and if they were untrustworthy the whole scam would've fallen apart by now. Perhaps there was just some fatal flaw in the shipping method and my address that they had, but then you'd think it'd be returned to sender, so I really don't know. But in the end, I paid for a shirt and got it, and the people at QC apparently took the loss of shipping two extra shirts out into the ether. So go buy stuff from them. Just have it shipped to your workplace, and don't wait 3 months if it doesn't show to say something.

Today's goals: have lunch, start wash, unpack car, finish wash, grocery shop. If I finish all that, I may reward myself w/ sushi for dinner, but I'd want to stop by a bookstore first so I have something to do over sushi, unless I just take it home.
