The saddest thing in the world

is hearing fireworks outside, and nearby too, but you can't see them out your windows. :(

I grew up within eyesight of Shea Stadium, and they had fireworks all the time too. It was great, I had an awesome view out my window. It was often the Grucci brothers too, and they had fun things like smiley faces and spelling out "I ♥ Mets".

These were pretty close, maybe the next hill over, but I guess there was just a house or something in the way. I was speculating to my boyfriend, T$, about where they were coming from, and it was amusing that from the volume I had a good idea of how far they could be, while he didn't. Man, I love fireworks! :)
