I woudl be a lot more awake right now if Peeper hadn't decided that 8am was a good time to hang out. I wanted to sleep in. she wanted scratches. I convinced her for a while that it was ok if she just sat next to me in bed. Then I rolled over - away from her - and she had to climb over me to my other side so she could be in front of me still. I think she likes to see my face or something. Then I rolled over again - on top of her, and she yelled to wake me and all was ok. Then she decided that sitting near me wasn't good enough, and she needed those scratches NOW, so she started butting her head against my fingers. I retracted them under the pillow, but they didn't stay there, and the next time they snuck out Peeper nibbled them and butted her head against them again. Repeat for another half hour or so until I gave up on sleeping sometime after 9am. Oh well. I hafta be at campus before noon anyway, and I should be grading, but I thought I'd be more effective grading later if I got some sleep in first.

This is precisely why I won't let Nina sleep with me. For one, she must sleep ON me... then she decides that my sleeping is boring and I should be petting her. So she head-butts me awake, or chews on my arm, or walks on my stomach.

Of course, now that we've kicked the kitties out, Ella has taken to chewing on the door if we are not up by 6:30am. Furry little bitches! (I love them!)
