Hm. Interesting points. My perpetual point regarding child-rearing is that it's a LOT of fucking work, and you're pretty much guaranteed to sabotage your career. I have a equal-rights liberal feminist boyfriend that I'm probably eventually going to do the traditional thing with, and I still worry that despite our best efforts, having kids will screw me.
