I bought the most adorable little plaid dress from New York & Company, but there's two unfortunates to it: it's gonna stay cool and rainy for at least another week, and I can't find an image of it on their webpage. I really like the company, their clothing is built for my body type, and it's the professional look I want - in blouses, little strappy dresses like this one aren't professional. :-P
I have a weakness for plaid dresses. *blushes*

Might be able to request a catalog if they do mail order, but I'm not sure they do, as they didn't have any inventory online. The last plaid dress I found, from something like Ann Taylor, I forget, was a green&white strapless convertible, but it didn't work very well strapless on me, and then one of the loops for the strap hooks has frayed, so I should replace it. There's some boning in the top part so that it stays up (and could theoretically do strapless), but for some reason it gives me a stiff back, and it rubs my armpits a bit, so it's not the most comfortable.
This new one is maroon with white and purple, and is gathered in the middle of the upper chest with little buttons, and it does have straps. It's not gonna be warm (or dry) enough here to wear it for a while, but I'll try and remember to tell you how it goes. Man, I should take pictures for your plaid dress pleasure! :-P Too bad it's not quite fancy enough for a wedding I'm going to in June, though it may work for otherJ & T's wedding in a couple weeks. T$'s in the wedding party.
*Ack!!* I was gonna go to sleep early.
