1. I understand. I was better off than most of my high school classmates as well, though nowadays a lot of my friends come from familes much better off than mine. For example, at a wedding this weekend, I got to see my friend's parents' new summer home. They had the fire department burn down their two cottages and build a 3-story, 10-BR, 4-bath mansion in its place. For their summer home. I just kept going in circles in my head saying "I'm never going to own a house like this." It stung b/c I'm actually starting to think about buying a house now, and it's sad to know that the only type actually comfortably within my price range are Ranches, and I'd as soon live in a trailer as a Ranch.
3. I just got some bleach and orange yesterday. I'm still pondering whether to go with streaks or the whole thing.
4. I suspect education makes a bigger difference (and perhaps class).
5. See, I don't know RHPS, so I still haven't put a face on you yet. :-P You aren't the awesome girl who dressed femme on Second Saturday, are you? B/c she rocks. :)
7. Hee, that's a cute story! I like it. :) If you get married and have kids you should tell them. (And hopefully you realize that I mean that as "gay marriage and child-rearing is awesome!" - not "you should become ex-gay and become a breeder!") In grad school I saw a sticker on a classmate's cabinet that read "Straight But Not Narrow" and realized that described me, and I've been doing my little part to push equal rights for all since.

5. hmm...Kai? she dressed as a drag queen...nah, i was wearing cargo pants and a t-shirt on 2nd saturday, which isn't too different from my usual style of dress, then i changed into a black halter and pinstriped miniskirt for the dance. i had short red/pink hair...
7. heh, my mom got me a sticker that said "straight but not narrow"...i asked her to get it for me before i realized i liked girls, and when she got it for me i hadn't yet come out to her so i couldn't explain why i couldn't stick it on anything. heh. and Beans got me a sticker with a rainbow that says "i don't even think straight" which is awesome but i can't really stick that on anything either. and i do like guys so who knows, i might even end up as a breeder...i don't like straight guys, though, i'd have to marry a bi one.

Hee, that sounds a bit like [livejournal.com profile] rosefox. ^_^ I was sad when I learned she couldn't donate blood b/c of it though. Not that I have in years myself though.
