I found four U.S. links in the first thirty hits on news.google.com for "paris riots":

Pretty slim pickings, but at least the NYTimes and ABC are picking it up from the AP. It's all over the UK papers, though; much as the Brits disdain the French, they pay very close attention to what's happening on the other side of the Channel.
