It must be the joke of the century, but MJ has been called up for jury duty. His laywers (yeah, he needs lawyers for this) are saying that he has permanent residence outside the country to get him out of it. Couldn't he just call up himself like normal people?

Turns out Ronald Regan got served a jury duty notice too, while he was president, but b/c he was pres it was deferred until he was out of office. The article doesn't say what happened after that.
Even if I weren't a lazy bum, living in my bachelor pad, cooking for one, I'd still have to eat Stouffer's Lasagna With Meat SauceTM at least once a month. It's super yummy! Plus, it's available on Amazon!

Disclaimer: No, I don't actually buy it online; I do stop at the grocery store on the way home from work every few weeks. I just was trying to find out how to spell it via Google and found the page. Amazon's got Kasagui gummies too, of flowery text fame.

Steps

Today I wore my pedometer just for fun. 1.3 miles is what I remember it saying at the end of the day before I accidentally hit the reset button. I didn't catch how many steps that was, but I entered my stride as 23", so it is left as an exercise for the reader to calculate (a) how many steps I took today, (b) how far it would be if I'd been able to add the extra digit, 23.4", and (c) how far that is in SI units.

Anyways, that's further than I walked yesterday for exercise, but it's all low impact low velocity walking, whether it's a lab day or not.
