dream

I think I dreamed about cookies. Chocolate chip cookies. Maybe I can convince the bf to make me some when I visit.

ETA:
I also dreamed about visiting a health club (a.k.a. gym) that was also an arcade. They didn't know I wasn't a member so they let me check out the various games. The manager showed me how to win at the coin/token dropping game - the one where the tokens build up next to a plunger or pusher and when there's enough they fall off out to a slot and you win the tokens that fell. Then he handed me my receipt for that visit, and the name was one of my coworkers, and I said he'd made a mistake, it wasn't me, but we used the same hairdresser so I could see where he thought it.
Five years ago, a Kansas court found that an 18-year-old adult man committed statutory rape by performing a sex act on a 14-year-old boy. The man was sentenced to 17 years of prison. If either the "victim" or "perp" had been female, the perp would've been given 15 months instead. The ACLU has successfully gotten the Kansas Supreme Court to strike down that ruling as being biased against gays without sufficient "moral decency" argument against it.

(Perpetrator) Limon's lawyer, James Esseks of the American Civil Liberties Union's Lesbian and Gay Rights Project, said: "We are very happy that Matthew will soon be getting out of prison. We are sorry there is no way to make up for the extra four years he spent in prison simply because he is gay."

Yeah, but he's still a peodphile.1

1: Or so the conservatives will argue since the perp was 18 and the vic was 14. In my opinion, statutory rape is a shady gray area that doesn't count.
Alfred University, my alma mater, came in 14th in US News & World Report's annual college ranking, in the category of Northern Master's Universities. That is higher than things like Assumption College, Rutgers University, numerous SUNYs and CUNYs (though others may be in different categories), Springfield College, and UMass Dartmouth. I would've put Bucknell University, where I did an REU, in the same class as Alfred, but either they're a different category or they're no good b/c they're not listed there.

ETA:
Master's Universities

Master’s universities provide a full range of undergraduate and master's programs, but few, if any, doctoral programs. They are ranked within four regions: North, South, Midwest, and West.
