I escaped from the Dungeon of Sammka!

I killed Ursule the rat, Dvitol the rat and Nadadoll the goblin.

From what I can see, there's no exit to any of them, so you play until you die or get bored, and the best way to rack up points is to not fight things.

I have a bug bite

on my right ring toe. Another on my right ankle. And maybe a third on my right calf. I must've missed that part of me when liberally spraying myself with bug spray. Oh well - I saw fireworks! And kids likely to lose a finger or eye or two. One was holding a sparkler while pushing a stroller. Ah, evolution. :-P

Besides bug spray and a dish chair, I also brought my camera - hadn't tried it on fireworks yet. I played with the shutter priority setting to good effect, though my framing wasn't that great this time. I'll post them soon to this blog post.

50 years of highways

Ooh, this looks like an interesting article - it's apparently a biography of the nation's interstate system, and for me it's pure mapporn! *grin* However, the following severely mangled nest of mixed metaphors made me cringe.

So it's hard to believe that America's freeway system turns 50 this summer — a chronological blip on the tectonic plates too slight for a spectrometer, but in the life of our republic, a golden anniversary.
