dreams

I had a couple dreams this morning (well, yesterday morning by this time), that I didn't remember until [livejournal.com profile] jethereal asked if we'd met, and in fact, we did!

Part I
I had somehow gotten a flock of parrots. They had a play table with ladders and rope perches and such to play on, and the bottom was covered with sand and food. There were I think five in all, one each of blue, green, and red, and two others who I think were also red and green. When I first got them, the first green and red were sick, and in fact they both died! But the red one didn't die, she had egg binding and somehow she laid a half dozen broken eggs (they were already cooked, over-hard) and recovered.

Part II
We were at a party in the common room of an apartment/suite. I was talking w/ JT and JY, and [livejournal.com profile] jethereal was partying on the other side of the room. It was getting late, so I told JY she could stay at my place, but she had to watch out for the new flock of parrots that I had. As I was telling her about their illnesses (and how I quarrantined them from Gabe so he wouldn't catch anything from them), Jethereal came out of his room since it was 6am already and he had to be at work by 7. From the corner, Jethereal yelled at Jethereal that he and I would be going to work on Feynmann problems later, and did he want to join us?

Yes, there were two of Jethereal. No, I didn't realize that was odd until I woke. This evening I tried to convince him he was even better than astral projection, as he could be in two places at once. ;) Too bad he didn't "remember" the dream too. :-P

And speaking of Gabe, my friend/former TA SpaceCadet gave me the perfect idea after telling [livejournal.com profile] tacotortoise about Gabe: teach him the Doom Song! (And now, either you're confused, or you're an Invader Zim fan.) It really is an awesome idea - Gabe seems kinda goofy at times, and he seems to also like beeping noises, so I think the Doom Song might be right up his alley. "Doomy-doom doom! The End!"
Anyone have a recommended software to rebuild my iTunes library from my iPod? I'm running Win XP and 2nd Gen iPod. I'd transferred all the files over from the old iBook, but the file structure is a mess and there's all these files iTunes can't find, so I want to just wipe what I've got and redo from my pretty pretty iPod.

Goddamnit. Sometime in there I reformatted the iPod for Apple - it was originally Windows formatted, but worked on either. This means it does not work on Windows at all. Which means I cannot transfer its mp3 files onto the PC. However I can transfer them to the theoretical upcoming MacBook, then plug it into the PC and reformat for Windows, then plug it back into the MacBook to get all the files from it back onto the iPod (since Windows format works on Macs), and FINALLY plug it back into the PC to transfer the Windows-format-mp3's back onto the PC. Yay.
I'm leaving for astrocamp in two days, for two weeks. it just occurred to me - i have to decide whether to bring peeper's ashes with me.
