Found via Wikipedia's page on Ramadan, here's a touching story about one high school's acceptance of different cultures.

That is a touching story.
Despite of my feelings about organized religion in general and particuarly Islam due to their stance on women's rights and a few other choice issues. It's wonderful to know that there is a place where the children try to understand and respect each otehrs cultures.

As I understand it, the practicers of Islam, like all other major religions, have varying levels of orthodoxy. While taking the religion at face value is against women's rights, I feel it's important to judge people who practice the religion by their own interpretation of the religion. Similarly, one of my friends considers himself Catholic, but doesn't like the Catholic church's stance on issues such as contraception and homosexuality.
