i had to look up how it could possibly be a satanist symbol, and i spent a lot of time in that odd combination of fascination and revulsion.
turns out that some moronspeople think that it's an upside down, broken cross, deliberately taunting their faith.
according to the absolute batshit fuckheadswebmasters at http://www.exposingsatanism.org/signsymbols.htm and http://www.nisbett.com/symbols/peace_sign.htm, basically anything that isn't a lowercase t cross is undeniably a symbol of satan and all of his works and THE DEVIL IS IN YOU CHILD GET THEE FROM ME NOW.
