My IQ varies a lot by the exam. It's hard to make one that's not biased towards a certain skill set, like arithmatic or vocabulary.
For example, one of my friends once studied a statewide standardized exam. On one question, the black students did much better on average than the white ones, the reverse of what's typical. When she looked at the actual question, it was a reading comprehension question involving the word "ebony," which is also the name of a magazine that targets a black audience.
i had an unimpressive 130.5, but i did somewhat restore my dignity by catching an error in the ‘compare yourself to a giant squid’ feature: human fingernails are composed of keratin, not chitin.
