On average, children in middle-income neighborhoods have approximately 13 books per individual child. In contrast, for low-income children, there is estimated to be 1 book for every 300 children.

Send a Dr. Seuss virtual card for the Cat in the Hat's 50th birthday, and Random House donates a book to children.

LOVE the icon! If a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, what's two caiques in your hands worth?

Heh. You've got waaaay too much free time on your hands if you're answering me four times in a row. :) Gabe's a really silly 'tiel that acts like a cat at times - she'll do something absolutely ridiculous like not know how to climb down a ladder so she tries to go beak-first, or underneath it, and then fall off really awkwardly, and then sit and preen herself as if nothing happened and she's all dignified.
