Is it my imagination, or did the latest PhD comic change?

office space

Previously, I believe the faculty office was in the milddle (w/o a window) and the grad student office was on the outside (presumably w/ a window), and the word "morning" was not crossed out and changed. Is it just me?

ETA: It's not just me, whew!

I have no idea since I didn't see this comic until you posted it, but it seems like it makes more sense this way... you're taking the long route around to avoid having to go by the faculty office. If your office were on the outside, you wouldn't have to, or even want to, take the long way around.

The other version (as I recall it) had the advisor's office first in the middle block, and the grad student one after, so you would still take the long way around to avoid the advisor's office. I'm thinking he made the change (if it really did occur) b/c the first way the grad student would've had a window.

i don't remember the offices being different (although i guess they could've been), but i'm sure i don't remember the crossing out from the first time i read it.

Well, I ended up getting me a forum account just to post that question (as it didn't appear that anyone had already asked it). I'll find out soon enough.

Editied for reality? Why would the grad student have a window and the prof not?
Excuse my ignorance if these issues have long been covered, I dont read PhD reguarly.

Yeah, that's my guess, that he changed it b/c of the potential for a window.

I had a window when I worked at IBM a bunch of years ago, with a fairly senior manager in the windowless box across from me. You see he was not quite senior enough to get a window, but as a contractor I was equipment, so I got the window. Just plain weird.
