So when you find you've got a pimple, what do you do? You pick it. You'd have to be inhuman to resist the lure of picking at one, especially when you can just see all the wonderful pus waiting to ooze out. Once you get that pus out, it'll be able to heal on its own. I had one smack in the middle of my back, and since I'm flexible I was able to pick at it despite the location. This morning I realized it was still there after a day or two, and bigger than a pimple usually is, so it's probably one of my oh-so-wonderful cysts. As I was changing, T$ said "did you know you have a bruise on your back?" We're oh-so-polite about bodily functions. "Yeah, it's a pimple or a cyst or something." T$: "Um, but it's a big scab." Me: "That's 'cause I picked at it. It's better than a usual cyst though." :( It wasn't painful before, but now because it's got a bit of a scab it is. And yet I can see just under the surface, it's waiting to ooze, and if it just gets out it'll heal right up.

My Name is Tammie Ferris and I have been doing activist work for the HS community for years now : ) Yes, I suffer with the same nasty thing you do. The dreaded HS.

I have run into several of your posts and see that you are currently into writing a letter to the insurance co to get approved for a drug for your HS. I am assuming it is Remicade or Enbrel.

Do you have the studies on the Remicade? Also I know several who have used Remicade for HS and maybe some of their personal comments would help? I don't know anyone who has really benefited from either of those drugs, but Its one of those things that may in fact help?

I tend to get a bit jaded about this as the studies will say "overwhelming success" or some such encouraging thing and then I talk to the real live people in the studies and it was far from it, then I get pissed off. I am sure you have researched this from her to Kingdom Come,but if you need any help or additional data and I can be off assistance, let me know. I am more then glad to help.
