Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] theferrett, fill in the blanks:

In my ideal world, _____________ would play _____________ in the movie/miniseries adaptation of ______________.

Me:

Leonardo diCaprio; Rand; Robert Jordan's "The Wheel of Time" series

I used to never like diCaprio, but now that he's grown up he's growing on me. Rand strikes me as a bit of a pretty boy who no one would think could think for himself, but he develops a temper as the series goes on, as diCaprio has in movies such as "The Gangs of NY".

Patrick Stewart would play Spider Jerusalem in the adaption of Transmetropolitan.

OMG. That would be totally awesome. Partly because I'd love to see Stewart play someone so very different from Capt. Picard.

I've heard rumors he is actually interested in playing that role.

If you check out his filmography, you'll see he has done a number of things. Jeferey (possibly Geofrey or something else, I'm bad with names) is a film where he played a flaming gay man.

Now that you mention it, I seem to remember that he wrote a really fanboyish intro to one volume of Transmetropolitan.

I haven't watched a lot of movies, so the only roles I've seen him in were in Star Trek and X-Men.

i once saw a tv remake of A Christmas Carol starring Patrick Stewart. it's kind of funny because there's a TNG episode that starts with Data playing Scrooge on the holodeck, and Picard is observing.

Hee, now I'm picturing Keanu Reeves as F'lar and Katie Holmes as Lessa. :-P

ew no, Keanu Reeves would be horrible. he only has one facial expression. F'lar needs to be more cheerful and arrogant.

Hee, that's half of why I said Reeves. :-P He's actually a good body actor though - meaning if you ignore his face, the rest of him does a remarkably good job. Reeves would do the swagger perfectly, and all the sexuality of the dragon mating, just with an entirely deadpan face.
