One question that the author mentions that was asked of her, which I thought was interesting, was "why aren't you following up on your Irish heritage?" I realize that it was a short article, but I would have liked to see her explore that a bit more.
But overall, I thought it was quite interesting. Not being in this position myself (unless you count having Irish, Scots, German, and English heritage being of 'mixed race', which most people--these days--wouldn't) it caused me to think about some of these issues more.
I know a lot more about my Mother's family and my heritage from that side (Chinese) than I do my Father's side (Jewish). Part of that's b/c my mother was closer with her family than my father, and part b/c my own father downplayed his heritage. But now I'm wishing I knew more.
