V for Vendetta
Jan. 8th, 2006 10:47 pmI don't know why I never looked up the trailers for V for Vendetta, but I just came across them.
Trailer 1
Trailer 2
It's one of the best graphic novels out there, and it appears that the movie may just do it justice. And believe it or not, Natalie Portman and the Wachowski brothers! I wonder who's V, but of course, it's better not to know.

And I'm under the impression that Alan Moore has disavowed anything they make from his comics, to the extent that he won't even accept the royalties (instead signing them over to the artists he worked with). It's primarily over intellectual property rights and creative license.
Moore's history with DC Comics over creator ownership and corporate attitudes had seen him swear off working with them, so a "firewall" was built up so Moore could continue the line, but never have to deal with DC Comics. ... In all his new works, he is insisting that his contract become null and void if the publisher is bought by another, to avoid a repeat of the Wildstorm (his old publisher) and DC Comics situation. [1]
