I also have an account on DW under the same name (though I haven't really used it at all), or you can find me on twitter under the same name as well.

Ah. Forgot about that one, during the golden years of LJ there were quite a few clones out there :P

I am under the impression that DW is a comparatively recent clone, formed by people who were originally with LJ and quit b/c they didn't like the direction it was moving. Certainly it's been gaining slow but steady support among my LJ friends in the last year.

Does it still require an invite code? I know my limits and I doubt I'd be updating another livejournal like entity. Between LJ, Facebook, and Twitter... I hit my max; Friendster and My Space were cut from the list a long time ago and the current trio don't need replacing just yet ;)

I forget if you need an invite still, but you can set up DW/LJ to mirror each other (so you write a post in one, and it appears in the other too), not that I've bothered to figure out how to do it.

Edit: and my FB account mirrors my Twitter account that's my first initial and last name (no spaces or punctuation).

Yes, you need an invite code, but they're not hard to come by.

If you want to know how to set up DW to auto-crosspost to LJ (which is what I do these days) let me know.

Ditto for if you want to copy your LJ posts over to DW. (I don't actually remember how to do either but the help docs were straightforward when I did it.)

Is LJ in danger of death? Lame.

Not that I know of, but it did have a lengthy DDOS attack yesterday.

Can't wait to have my say
