So I've got Jewish friends. Anyone know what I might expect at something called I think it was "havdalah with the horses". In case it's relevant, it's on a Sat afternoon/night with a wedding the next day.

And anyone know what I should wear?

Havdalah is the end of Shabbat. There's a cup of wine, a braided candle, and a spicebox. I have no idea what the horses have to do with it. :)

I'd ask them what to wear, since horses are involved.

Unfortunately they've answered neither that question nor the ones dictating how much allergy meds I take beforehand. :-/ If it were a normal non-horsey havdalah, what would one wear?

That would really depend on who's hosting it. When I do havdalah (I think it's one of the prettiest Jewish ceremonies, and I once did it for a bunch of non-Jewish classmates) I wear casual clothing. I guess, dinner party clothing. If you're being invited by someone whose dinner parties are likely to be in casual/school/everyday clothes, wear those; if you're being invited by someone who might expect semi-casual/business-casual, wear that instead; if it's at a synagogue rather than someone's house, dress for synagogue/church. Which means that if it's with horses, I'd guess you'd want to dress to be outdoors, possibly in dirt/mud--maybe picnic clothes with work/hiking shoes.
