A webcomic had a self-referential ("breaking the fourth wall") strip in which the characters had different colors, like Magic, the Gathering. They were mer-people, so they were supposed to be Blue, but a Black spell made them afraid of Red. I had some sort of cursed land which would produce two unless there was another player using Black.

Could be. I'm still a gaming sort, though not Magic, and unfortunately not RPGs. More stuff like Settlers of Catan, Puerto Rico, and Citadels. I devoutly wish I got the chance to play RPGs, but alas alack, it seems to be ill-fated. Hm, maybe I'll do a Craig's List ad and see if there's anyone in the area doing RPGs. :-P
