I went to A. C. Moore this evening right after chorus, originally to look for something that I could create as a star mirror dangle for my car. I found opalescent origami paper, but also yarn for a scarf to match my new jacket, and ribbon and a few nice turquoise beads to make a necklace to replace the one that I bought that's built for a fatter neck.

And then I found Blue Moon Beads Item 61556. They had all the others too, except 61576, which now that I see it is my favorite. I ransacked the aisles for beads to match and findings for what was now in my head, and left a hundred bucks the poorer an hour and a half later.

3 hours of procrastination and 2 hours of crafting later.... )

Cheaper than the last harebrained scheme I had, and I get it now, when I need it.
If you have flown outside this country in the past year or so, you have a terrorist score. I am unclear if it's also used for travel by boat or car, so I may be counted too via last summer's vacation. The gov't has been doing this since at least last November. They track what flights you took, how you paid for the ticket, where you were going and coming from, where you live, and even what you ATE on the flight. Hopefully they didn't track what [livejournal.com profile] jethereal barfed back up on the Cat. You're not allowed to see your terror score, and while you're allowed to make complaints if you feel you're being targetted, you're not allowed to do anything specific to fix mixups (since you can't see what they messed up).

After [livejournal.com profile] ayashi posted about winter exercise and I replied with a resounding SNOWSHOEING, I'm really jonesing for snow. *sigh* I've liked the warmth, but snowshoeing makes me giggle *so* much... I really DO go and do it on my own, pretty regularly.

And meanwhile I'm keeping my fingers crossed for [livejournal.com profile] myoosikal as she takes her parrotlet to the emergency vet after what may have been a seizure. Folks, if you have pets, ALWAYS keep cash in the house. :( Nothing against you [livejournal.com profile] myoosikal, my point is I'm learning from your experience too, it wouldn't've occurred to me either! I really hope she's ok.

Your 'Do You Want the Terrorists to Win' Score: 70%

You are a terrorist-loving scoundrel who hates our dear leader and the values he defends. There are few redeeming qualities about you. You most likely celebrated when the evil-doers hit us on 9/11, then opposed the Iraq war when we tried to pay them back. You hurt us at every step and cause troops to die in the field by questioning Bush's decisions. You are most likely a lost cause, doomed to be a brainwashed victim of free thought and liberalism forever. No dose of Ann Coulter's prose can save you now.

Do You Want the Terrorists to Win?

The quiz actually paints a comparatively accurate picture of how liberals view themselves - and then condemns it as supporting terrorism. Funny, as a liberal I think many conservative viewpoints promote terrorism...
