Unless people have HAD chickens as pets, they don't see farm animals as cuddly beings. I actually know how cool chickens can be - I used to live next to a small little chicken farm, and a couple would wander over and sleep on my bed. Awesome.
However, I am a meat-eater, so any sort of argument from me would be highly hypocritical. MY line is outright disgusting behaviours such as foie gras and the $4,000 drowned sparrow. That shit is just wrong.
