Mr. Roomba is dead!
Nov. 5th, 2007 07:04 pmLong live Mr. Roomba!
His brushes have continued to not turn, other than for some 5 minutes after a thorough cleaning. So I called Roomba support this evening, and brushes not turning is covered under warranty - by a replacement of the unit. The new one will arrive within 3-10 business days, and we are to ship back the old one at our own expense ($6-8 via FedEx or UPS, so not too bad).
This makes me so sad, we're losing Mr. Roomba! I have to keep reminding myself that losing an old Mr. Roomba means gaining a new one... So sad! :'(

Date: 2007-11-06 12:27 am (UTC)I'd heard the founder of Irobot say similar things about the bomb disposal unit robots that they make-- soldiers wanted their existing unit repaired instead of a replacement.
