I had an awesome sleep-deprived weekend, and I saw everybody!
I fear my coherency factor is running low. Solid sleep is probably needed to recharge it. Unfortunatley, that sleep is to be punctuated with waking, followed by finishing syllabi and week-1 lessons.
tacotortoise was running our 2006 MIT Mystery Hunt team; that rocked as usual. One of my encounters with him was entirely incidental, as I was leaving lunch with other friend (
rosefox, and non-LJ, see below) and ran into him and another picking up...
tikva who I found to be quite outgoing and cool, but I didn't meet long enough to get more impression than that. Hopefully that will come, as her pictures do not do her friendliness justice!- Brodie, who was appropriately friendly at the appropriate times, and I wish I could've hugged. I have so far met two dogs I liked (among innumerable ones I have been neutral about or disliked), and Brodie makes the second. What makes a dog I like is friendly but well-behaved about it. :-P Yeah, I'm picky. That's what you get with allergies. :(
rosefox, whom I hadn't seen in TEN FUCKING YEARS, way too long, and for all too brief (if that is at all coherent), I'm going to make it a point to see her again as her schedule allows.- Various others without a significantly self-identified web presence.
- And unsurprisingly surprisingly, I ran into
iresprite in the lobby of Arisia. (ETA) Who mentioned that he'd just been chatting with one of my NYC friends on the phone that morning! :-P
